Okay. I was taking a break from watching to heal after the election results but it looks like that’s not something we can afford to do. Back to watching MSNBC tonight and every night. We need our institutions alive if we are going to go through the next 4 years and come back stronger.

I left Twitter in October 2022 dreading what Musk would do but not sure if I was making a mistake. It’s a self-confirmation that I did the right thing when now I read y’all arriving here with glaring signs of PTSD marveling at how there are no bots and people can have real conversations.

I thought they wanted freedom of speech? People have opinions and if someone is gonna be a public figure, you better be okay with hearing critics.
Deus vult’ began as a rallying cry for the Crusades. More recently, it’s been adopted by the far right. And we’re not even supposed to wonder/ask why it’s tattooed on the arm of the next defense secretary?

This read was a shocking eye opener. First impulse was to be angry at the NYT for normalizing the cabinet picks, even when they’re abysmal. But instead of just letting the anger simmer, I’m trying to understand how people can see this so differently. How?

This read was a shocking eye opener. First impulse was to be angry at the NYT for normalizing the cabinet picks, even when they’re abysmal. But instead of just letting the anger simmer, I’m trying to understand how people can see this so differently. How?
I just had a realization and it all makes sense now. We are living in the Matrix for real and someone turned on the “Coen brothers movie” mode in Settings. That would explain everything.
