Both me & my then-spouse (=Cdn) did not grow up w/them but bought a house w/one. I only use after washing dishes. He once put down several pounds of carrot bits, clogging our mains drain, requiring a plumber to roto-root it. The guy asked me “Why did you grind a bag of carrots?” Why, indeed, sir…
