I saw a similar set up at Notre-Dame in Paris a few years before the 2019 fire. It’s for the racks of offertory candles along outer aisles.

Hooray to our gritty Tigers for (finally) getting in the win ~midnight home time. Here’s hoping for another Detroit win tonight against the Mariners!!

There’s a terrific dark skies park about 10 miles SW of Mackinaw City on Lake Michigan. I have such wonderful memories of nighttime in the western UP b/w the starry skies & northern nights.

On nights like this, where there’s a huge, multi-state storm cell, I’m very grateful for (what’s left of) the National Weather Service’s staff to watch & warn us for possible tornados. It’s money well-spent for the immense value they provide.

Art history major here: I die a little on the inside every time I hear it that way. To me, St Denis isn’t a concert venue; it’s medieval church in the Paris suburbs, famous for being THE 1st Gothic church & burial site of French royalty.
