That does sound inviting. I'd be happy to run the antiquarian bookshop full of volumes bound in a strange but familiar kind of vellum, maps of villages under the sea, blurry rusted photos where some of the sitters appear to have two heads.

The downsides are cosmic horror and cultist neighbours, but the upsides are no internet access or mobile phone signal and the house prices are very reasonable.

Yes, I take your point, I have a lot of issues with organised religion but better than turning to an AI chatbot for guidance? Probably.

I feel like what we're in a 'Wars of Religion' moment with an AI/tech cult challenging every other belief system or philosophy of life.
