I’ve noticed that in Poland,
Everyone will wait. I don’t recall this level of compliance during the 80s and 90s. In the US, no one waits. Perhaps PiS is right, and the Germans are taking over :)

Seriously, im not sure id worry so much about “AI.” A very good, but also very expensive, autocomplete. I’m curious to see what shakes out once the magic accounting goes poof (my experience is the leadership will have cashed out and moved on before the plebes get wiped out).

Statistically so rare it’s ludicrous to lean into this as a solution except that we Americans are already culture war trained into specific (mostly useless) responses. Might I propose that effectively dealing with radicalization would be broadly more useful.

Perhaps we can agree that California is not representative of the country as a whole, at least? This is what immediately comes to mind when I hear Dems pushing CA or NY candidates. I’d be far more comfortable with a candidate from a politically competitive state.

Personally, i wouldn’t swap one narcissist for another, even one on “my side.” Ever see the study where lefties like potato chips with lots of writing on the bag and the right prefer simple packaging? Both are junk food.

I used to live in CA (and SF) and when I went back a month ago, nobody I asked liked Newsom. Most detested him, just less than Donnie. But if you need a guy to say the right things while selling it all to tech bros, Newsom is your man.

It’s not magical thinking. The Trump administration is motivated by personal profit. Trump, Witkoff, and Kushner will profit more from a Russian victory than a Ukrainian one.
