One of my retirement ambitions is to re-read some of his popular apologetics. I once read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, but didn't like it!

I'm probably not typical, but I first encountered Lewis at university, when The Four Loves was a set book in my first year university course. It was some years before I discovered he also wrote children's books!
