With National Parks almost entirely shutdown due to funding cuts and freezes, it is a good time to watch the Ken Burns documentary on the history of them. Our beautiful National Parks are the best of us.

Hell yeah. Hold the line. This is what we need people to do.

Slow things down, don’t comply in advance so the courts have time to stop them. It’s starting to work.
Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

Trump's demand of immediate elections is, in fact, yet another recognition of Russian annexations. Because how could the Ukrainians living in occupied territories vote? At least 1.5 million Ukrainians are living under Russian rule now.

The answer is, they couldn't. More in the thread below.
Exclusive: U.S. wants Ukraine to hold elections following a ceasefire, says Trump envoy
Trump and his envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, have both said they are working on a plan to broker a deal to end the war but have offered few details about their strategy or when they might unveil such a plan.

A deadly desert crossing. A pastor’s radical stand. The sanctuary movement reshaped faith, resistance, and immigration in America. Listen now.
Sanctuary
In July 1980, a group of Salvadoran migrants crossed the border between Mexico and Arizona. They walked over a remote mountain range and halfway across a wide desert valley in the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. There were more than two dozen of them—people who had left behind lives and jobs to come to the United States. Note: This episode originally aired as two episodes in 2017.
