This seems pretty important reading for those of us in Ontario. Gift link (courtesy of the Toronto Public library) www.nytimes.com/2025/04/16/w...

A Times investigation shows Therme, a European firm, exaggerated its track record in securing a deal with Ontario, and government auditors found that the process had been unfair and opaque.

If the Ford Government wants to spend half the provincial sewer infrastructure budget on the Ontario Place CSO, let’s at least spend the money to stop raw sewage from going into our water. Watch the Waterfront for All Speaker Series on the CSO work: youtu.be/mIWhpefA0BQ

Sure does. He puts himself on the line with nothing to back himself up. Must be hard to be an artist on that jagged edge, putting yourself out there, not casting yourself in the best light, laying yourself bare, singing your song like a siren. I couldn’t do it but I appreciate the artists who do.

If the soundtrack is an opening for people to listen to some great music, I’m all for it. Maybe they’ll listen to the originals, maybe they won’t, maybe they will 30 years from now. Whatever the case, I’m happy they’re listening to them because they’re great songs & potential to be life-changers.

No Direction Home was probably much more insightful, but I’m looking forward to seeing the Chalamet movie. I think it might give a lot of people some perspective on an important turning point in modern history. And if the soundtrack gets people to listen to some great music so much the better!

I love Street Legal. It was one of the first Dylan albums I discovered on my own. I remember being surprised how one line could be so ordinary and the next could be so great. Uneven, so visceral, raw and unfiltered. Other Dylan albums might be greater, but I listen to this one more!

Exactly!! I love how you said, “I I don’t feel like I know Dylan any better but I think that’s the point.” That’s never the point, is it? People always want to pin him down. We can’t even understand ourselves let alone anyone else!
