On Friday, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health finally issues a statement urging Albertans to get vaccinated in the face of a measles outbreak. On Monday, he’s out of a job. Alberta is being ruled by the Convoy Crowd. Alberta has become a Trumpian dystopia. #cdnpoli

European Spa Company Therme Misrepresented Itself in an Effort to Expand Into Canada (Gift Article)
A Times investigation shows Therme, a European firm, exaggerated its track record in securing a deal with Ontario, and government auditors found that the process had been unfair and opaque.

If the Ford Government wants to spend half the provincial sewer infrastructure budget on the Ontario Place CSO, let’s at least spend the money to stop raw sewage from going into our water. Watch the Waterfront for All Speaker Series on the CSO work: youtu.be/mIWhpefA0BQ

I tell ya folks, in six and half years we haven’t finished the Eglinton Crosstown or fixed any schools and we’ve closed the Science Centre and you still can’t find a family doc and hospital wait times are higher than ever … but we’ve brought back paper bags at the LCBO, so now we need a new mandate.

“Evidence isn’t what matters to this government. Otherwise, supervised consumption sites wouldn’t be legislated to close, and we’d address the real threat — toxic drugs — and implement the safety recommendations espoused by the expert reviews.”
My 1st op-ed in TorontoToday as a regular contributor: with a looming Charter challenge and the evidence against closing supervised consumption sites, the Ford government has stooped to digging up hearsay as its only defence — and it's callous, cynical, and deadly www.torontotoday.ca/local/opinio...

Since everyone’s finding old and new friends, take a moment to read my story, I’m a 32yo polio survivor because I was not vaccinated. Pass on my story, repeat it, tell it to any vaccine hesitate parent. No kid deserves vaccine preventable diseases

I’m a Polio Survivor. I Don’t Want You to Get It.
Polio is once again a public health threat in the United States. Grace is disappointed, though not surprised.

Edward Keenan: Doug Ford seems eager to toss the Charter aside — again. Here’s what is most distressing about this time
Ontario’s premier appears eager to use the notwithstanding clause because he thinks it earns him a macho badge of honour.
