5. #Rivian and, finally, Gear Guard is useless. A guy backs into my truck…nothing. Something dents my tailgate…nothing. A redneck cuts me off and emergency braking engages…nothing. Other than filling a hard drive with videos of random people walking by in parking lots, it has been useless.

#Rivian 4. I had forgiven a lot on my R1T: Too delicate to off-road (the pinky sized tie rods snap at the slightest obstacle), won’t hold an alignment, Clunky and noisy suspension etc. But when the steering doesn’t work right in only 27,000 miles, I’m done.

#Rivian 4. I had forgiven a lot on my R1T: Too delicate to off-road (the pinky sized tie rods snap at the slightest obstacle), won’t hold an alignment, Clunky and noisy suspension etc. But when the steering doesn’t work right in only 27,000 miles, I’m done.

#Rivian 3. Two days and $600 in the Seattle service center accomplished nothing. The thing has become entirely annoying to drive and as soon as the service center appointment in a month they’ll have it a month before they even look at it is done, it’s gone.

#Rivian 2. In the 1% of places highway assist assist works, it drives like it’s impared. 4,000 miles of the thing fighting us tooth and nail and ruining our trip. As a bonus, we spent $1,200 on level 3 charging, about $400 more than we would have paid with my old diesel pickup.
