TBH I haven't looked at LabX in a long time so I'm not too familiar with it. I expect the most challenging part of what your describing is that anything in academic lab is uni property, and I expect the administrative load related to selling it is going to be too much for it to be worth it

Have you ever tried LabX.com | New, Used and Refurbished Laboratory Equipment? Seems like all fields of science, but essentially what you're proposing I think.

who am I kidding, we don't have resources to support the committee. We definitely don't have resources to get people to consider following the advice in any output. But hey, at least took time away from the people who were doing it to begin with.

Seriously though, can you serve on this committee that takes your time away from doing a thing to help discuss (and maybe at some point write down) how to be good at doing the thing?

This is the third year of our DOE RENEW project, and likely to be the last time I'll get to host these workshop so it was a bit bittersweet. Fingers crossed we can get more funding to continue these.
