My bestie has kids who were allergic to much of the planet when they were babies including corn & soy, so severe that even yeast grown on substrate including corn syrup could set them off. Eating anything that wasn’t a whole veg or bit of meat was roulette for them, thank you very much to your mum!

Had an auntie who lived there in late 80s, I remember it being a pretty low-key place to visit; sun, mynah birds, sea lice, rad nikau forests and super-basic shops. Everything I’ve heard about the place since sounds gross

Worked for mine, he’s pretty hard-out about his online interactions and content and is the harshest critic of gen AI in our house. He was a Roblox fan for a couple of years but also learned from the experience. His worst gaming addiction was Elden Ring arenas, could be worse! Good luck!

My spawn was into it for a while but first game that properly grabbed him was Ghost of Tsushima, and then Elden Ring and the AC series. He’s pretty clear-eyed about Roblox as both a community and a company and his long experience has made him super-critical rather than nostalgic. Kids aren’t stupid!

Normally I have a first aid kit in my bag, the one day I left it behind I ate shit running for my train, was generously plied with wipes and bandaids by a stern business-lady and a military dude in uniform - I really do believe there are more awesome people than assholes out there!

I’m back at university as a 50YO & my classmates are smart, talented, enthusiastic and admirable in so many ways… and also completely fucking babies and I would rather gnaw off my own legs than have to socialise with them because they are children! Considering them as sexual partners? Just gross 🤢

It’s wild to me, I did a quick cert in te reo in 2016, and had older classmates who were beaten for speaking Māori in school. This shit is in living memory, we are still feeling the damage! Unsure if this govt thinks we’re stupid or are really that stupid themselves! Incurious bigots 🤮

It’s wild to me, I did a quick cert in te reo in 2016, and had older classmates who were beaten for speaking Māori in school. This shit is in living memory, we are still feeling the damage! Unsure if this govt thinks we’re stupid or are really that stupid themselves! Incurious bigots 🤮

Bamboo ones are better imo. Looks fantastic, it’ll all settle in beautifully! I think the heavy edges work better with the natural growth you’re keeping, smaller would get lost. Planting for local fauna rules, I plant mine for lizards and birds and keep my stream banks for wasps and damselflies 😍
