he's espousing and is more deep down someone fighting out of resentment after losing his hope. I don't know if that's the case for the AEUG because I think he had some hope then in Kamille, which he'd lost.

Ultimately I think it's somewhere in the middle, he wasn't without any ulterior motives.

and I'd say part of Quattro is him allowing himself to be a solider again and escape the expectations of being Char Aznable. He goes to war because it gives him a sense of purpose. Amuro too, but much of that purpose is forced on him.

CCA makes a point that Char barely even believes the ideology...

I think there's a lot of earnestness in him wanting to achieve the goals his father set out, and a lot of what he says about needing the world to be better for the next generation seems sincere imo. However, a major idea of UC is that Char literally only knows how to live in the context of war...

It is fundamental to Zeta that the most horrific war crimes be followed by cheery synth-pop and “OH I CANT HELP BELIEVING YOU!!!”

The red def looks like two separate colors but it could be a gradient? Maybe the tusks?

In fairness the 3 blues here are very close together, like as a non color blind person I don’t think I’d see them as 3 distinct colors but as a gradient when looking from a distance.

Quattro and Kamille are practically begging to be father and son. They COULD’VE helped each other, but ultimately Char just pushes all his own baggage on Kamille.

The Argama is a failed found family, and that’s part of the major tragedy of Zeta. It’s also kinda where it has a lot in common with Eva

Kamille searches for a mother in every woman on Argama besides maybe Beltorchika. Reccoa seems to have actually wanted that sense of family, while Emma completely rejects it. Fa might offer it but Kamille doesn’t want her that way.

It’s interesting in paralleling the found family on the white base.
