Tried making a top 100 anime and tbh it kinda just proves how much of a fake weeb I am. Basically anything past 80 was just me phoning it in and thinking "yeah I guess that was pretty good"

Cardinal Rohan's design is so goofy I love it. Everyone else has this elegant, elongated, kinda mannerist look to them, and then meanwhile we got Professor Ochanomizu here as the most gullible man alive.

Episode 19 is simply a perfect episode of television. The way it manages to tackle the subject of sexual abuse without ever muttering the word or depicting it, just all allegory (especially visual allegory). I was completely stunned. A masterpiece.

At episode 19, Nagahama is replaced as director with the legendary Dezaki, and you can immediately tell. He's mostly kept the visual style thus far, but he's certainly left his mark. I do really hope that with him as director those more avantgarde elements don't disappear...

I think it's kinda fascinating that none of the games have Maria die before Rosa. Ep 2 is the only time we really get to see Rosa react to the loss of Maria.
However, the lyrics to Thank You for Being Born, I'd argue are about Rosa grieving the loss of Maria.
