remember back in feb. when schatz got called out for agreeing to fast track trump's nominees?

so how did schatz respond? he did a 'well ackshually by giving the GOP unanimous consent we are slowing them down'

[trump's nominees were confirmed more rapidly than any president in recent memory]

trump attempted a coup and the democratic senate cut the ensuing trial short so it wouldn't interfere with their holiday plans

this is literally true but if you say it aloud it sounds so preposterous that people won't believe you

the pinnacle of a staggeringly great movie

genuinely in awe that anyone anywhere was able to make a movie of that caliber

good god, if we'd had a senate with 53 chuck schumers we'd have had thousands of college students demonstrating against genocide in palestine kidnapped by the feds and renditioned to CECOT

the football gods are displeased by these corporate overlords waging conflicts against each and have therefore cast us all into the realm of football purgatory

that's right
don't let any dem senators evade blame for this surrender

the party choreographed the vote so that only the retiring & least vulnerable senators took the hit. the decision to surrender was made collectively by the caucus

you can only trust the dems who are calling for schumer to step down
any dem who isn't calling for schumer to step down as leader must be assumed to fully support this kabuki that schumer orchestrated so that the democratic caucus could surrender to the GOP

more and more people are saying the same thing
If I'm correct it's because Democratic electeds and consultants want to win by default, that is reach a political equilibrium in which the GOP are seen as too extreme to govern, and a plurality of voters have no choice but to elect Democrats. This results in sliding right and taking the temperature.

if even a single dem senator wanted to throw a wrench in the works they could object to unanimous consent
