A sad, strange little man who wandered over from what used to be a bird place.

incredible that for big companies, this is gonna be considered the 'uncompromising take'

God, PSO2 getting a NIKKE collab would be WILD, given the kind of outfits that some of the characters wear. Their guns getting turned into Weapon Camos would go super hard, though. Guys would get the Commander's uniform as setwear while everyone is running around as Red Hood or Elegg or something.

Honestly, every bad decision that EA makes, and will probably continue to make, only reinforces my decision to never purchase a game they've developed or published. I can definitely live without The Sims, mostly because there's way better, less monetized indie alternatives to be found these days.

I'm feeling this HARD with Digimon Time Stranger's release date being over a week from now... I WANNA PLAY THE FULL GAME AND GET MY TEAM FULL OF WAIFUMONS, IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK???

Then to rub it in, he says at her, totally deadpan, saying "I guess we're not on equal terms after all, are we?" and it distresses Kudelia SO MUCH. He might have the emotive capacity of a rock, but Mikazuki is a goddamn comedian when the opportunity hits, I swear.

One of my fave moments is when Kudelia goes to shake Mika's hand and he declines, she goes into a spiel on how they're equal so they should be able to shake hands, and then he pulls out his hand which is super dirty with oil/grease, and completely derails her whole spiel because he LITERALLY can't.

... It might just be my specific brand of brainworms, but I feel like Mermaid!Teodora's hair, fins, and maybe even her eyes could totally be bioluminescent.

Honestly, Kimi wa 008 very much smells like something that was only penned as a result of chasing the trends of that time, but it turns out it predated both Spy x Family and Mission Yozakura Family by about a year, when it comes to spy-flavored shonen manga, which is kinda wild to think about.

It's a bit late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TARA!

Honestly it feels like the English dubs for the Build series didn't really find their footing until Re:RISE, but that might just be my biases speaking.

Also Domon as a protagonist is unique in that he's the first one to be an adult, clocking in at roughly 20 years old when the show starts.

He's more or less a take on Kamille from the early parts of Zeta, if Kamille was really into martial arts and not engineering.
August 1, 2025 at 6:00 PM
It is!

Also, the show isn't afraid to peel back the super robot martial arts veneer and really have the viewers take a look at the harm done to the Earth and its people as a direct result of the basic premise of the setting, which results in a distinct anti-war/pro-environmentalism message.

Also, it hearkens back to Graham's own lore, in that he was a test pilot for the prototype Flag, when the Union was still determining what new machine they would adopt as their next gen MS to replace the Realdo!

In game terminology, they took a look at Lyle's "One Second Trans-Am" exploit with the Cherudim in S2, decided to make it an actual feature, and then further refined the idea into what's being used by the Exia Repair IV.
July 31, 2025 at 7:24 AM
Mainly, to increase power specifically at the moment of striking with the specified limb to retain the intended performance increase, designed not only to preserve particle count, but also to mitigate, if not outright circumvent the usual performance drop from typical full-body Trans-Am usage.
July 31, 2025 at 7:24 AM
I like that the Exia Repair IV not only is refitted for Graham's personal use, it inherits the role of "designated testbed" from its precursor, the Gundam Astraea.

In this case, the Exia is testing out the ability to use Trans-Am restricted to specific limbs, that serves multiple purposes.

So, beyond joining CB as Tieria's stand-in because he was designed for it, he's embracing that role because it means he can learn more about humanity, and more importantly, WANTS to protect the Earth, just as Tieria did, because it means so much to him.

He's so earnest and genuine about it, too!
July 31, 2025 at 7:03 AM
The neat thing about Laetitia Erde, is that Tieria deliberately made a clone of himself, but with a different personality. He's essentially Tieria with all of the memories, but none of the emotional baggage attached to them. They give him context, but instill a desire to learn more about humanity.

So Graham getting an extra special inverted version of Setsuna's pilot suit that's predominantly white with blue trim, and inheriting the Exia, but specifically modified for Graham's use is a noticeable contrast to Lyle inheriting the Cherudim, which was meant to cater to Neil's style of piloting.
July 31, 2025 at 4:54 AM
In any case, Graham's integration into CB is markedly different from Lyle's recruitment, because they ABSOLUTELY learned their lesson with the latter. They treat Graham not as a replacement for Setsuna, but as his own person, and respect him as someone that Setsuna trusted to keep Earth safe.

Thankfully the manga adaptation of the movie isn't considered canon.
