Seattle area mom of two extremely fun teenagers. Author of The Queen Trials, The Collapse series, and other books. Believer in humanity. History buff. Love finding weird and arcane connections between seemingly unrelated things.
Sure you could re-interview a woman who has been convicted of sex trafficking children and sentenced to 20 years in prison while dangling a pardon in front of her OR you could release the Epstein files because you have nothing to hide. I mean, I totally get it. It's a tough choice.

The kids are off to Pink Prom, hosted by Lambert House but not actually at Lambert House. It's somewhere in Seattle. Nik, Madeline, Delayna, and Marek have formed a 90s cover band specifically for this occasion and will be playing an hour long set.

Remember that time Obama wore a bright blue suit and tie to a funeral and then appeared to fall asleep? Oh, wait... no, hold on, wait. That was Trump. And it was yesterday.

1/4. On the White House’s theory, if they abduct you, get you on a helicopter, get to international waters, shoot you in the head, and drop your corpse into the ocean, that is legal, because it is the conduct of foreign affairs.

The whims of one person should not be able to have these kinds of whiplash effects on the markets. This is a dangerous and untenable position to be in.

We put a banana in front of our address to block it out, because this thing we got in the mail today is BANANAS.

I just submitted my candidacy approval form, which is the first step in the process of lining up my ducks to get my master's degree in library and information systems at the end of Spring 2026.

Oh, thanks a whole bunch, Republican senators, for giving us train wreck Linda McMahon as secretary of education. I'm a school employee and the DOE protects our most vulnerable students. Or, I guess I should say, it DID. If the department still exists in 6 months, I'll be shocked.

2 years ago I sold my high mileage, first gen, "nothing fancy" 2013 Tesla Model S for 20K. Today I sold my low mileage "all the bells and whistles" 2015 Tesla Model S for 14K, because Elon Musk sucks. He's probably always sucked, just everyone knows it now. Super glad to be rid of that car.

I watched that utter debacle and I can't believe the restraint shown by Zelenskyy. If that kind of conversation had taken place at ANY BAR IN AMERICA there would have been punches thrown. We would have all known who started it, and we wouldn't feel sorry for the crazy old man with the black eye.

I recommend going to the library today. Or playing Pokemon Go, as long as you don't buy any of their add on games (not today, at least). There is tons to do in Pokemon Go without spending a single cent. Enjoy your day!

Saw some new pics of my perfect children on the interwebs. They are musicians and these were taken at a show at the Funhouse in Seattle yesterday by a photographer named David at Fear City Photography. Their band is Razed by the River and they are amazing and that's not just mom pride talking.

I donated blood today, because it is a good and selfless thing to do that I'm capable of. Over the years, I've donated a few gallons. I wonder if I've donated more blood than Trump and every member of his cabinet put together? I bet I have.

Excited that I got my youngest's second meningitis vaccine scheduled for Wednesday and after that all childhood vaccinations for my kids will be done. Incredibly saddened that I'm so thrilled by this because getting childhood vaccinations will be difficult/impossible in the not too distant future.

Aw, Mitch McConnell was the sole republican no vote on Tulsi Gabbard's confirmation? How does it feel to lose control of the monster you created, Mitch? Not very good, eh?

Of course Steve Bannon would plead guilty! Why spend all that money on lawyers when you can cut to the chase, get a verdict, and then get pardoned for it? It's just simple math, people.
