Yeah, I went. I hadn't planned to go--my daughter-in-law gave birth this week, and I have contractors coming in to destroy my bedroom on Monday. But when the news of the assassination came in, I was so mad I went. Some family members texted me to pass on the state warnings. But I went anyway.

Yeah, it's impressive both ways--the vile racism of the one, and the calm willingness to try to have a non-screaming discussion with the other.

And one of the people I spoke with was one of the pastors for Central Lutheran. Their estimate is that around 1,500 people attended. 10x the number originally expected.

And I’ve handed half of them out today already at a conference assembly meeting for our synod (pastors, deacons, and lay people). People are eager to help.

I took a bunch of them to pass on. I work in the Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA (Lutheran church). We have had a lot of requests from our pastors and deacons for resources for helping our immigrant communities.

They had clear instructions to take, and more sessions are planned.

Yes, it did! They had originally planned to hold it at Holy Trinity, figuring 150 people might be interested. But the response was so strong, they moved it to Cental. Over 1,000 people showed up. They packed the place, up to and including the second floor balconies. Lots of energy in the room.

It got moved to Central Lutheran. I’m there, waiting for the program to begin. Big crowd.
