As per Christopher Kunz: This alleged leak just contains SMS delivery logs with carrier metadata and phone numbers from 2025. The sample contains Portuguese numbers, where only 60% are unique numbers. Main risk is targeted phishing.

The alleged "Steam data breach" appears to be SMS delivery logs from some provider, if it is true at all. Twilio says there is no indication that this data was obtained from Twilio.
You don't have to change your password, such a provider would not have your account information.

I know I'm fighting a massive losing battle against this piece of misinformation because it seems so entrenched but every time I see "console games just download from the internet now anyway" I get kinda mad because it just isn't true.

What a disgrace has it been to follow Nintendo Switch 2 news. I can have all the data on my handheld game cartridge, but two generations later and we get an useless piece of plastic in our shelves.
This is a middle-finger to all the efforts done for physical media and preservation.

Switch 2 game pre-orders have been up in Japan for a few hours, revealing all physical third-party games (so far—except Cyberpunk 2077) that are not "Nintendo Switch 2 Editions" to be shipping on game-key cards (requires internet to download the full game).
