Yesterday the FDA approved the third T-cell engager against BCMA, Lynozyfic (linvoseltamab) from Regeneron, following on the earlier EMA approval this spring. This is the 20th drug approved to treat #myeloma in just over 20 years. For those that are interested here is the updated approval timeline.

Apparently the reason you see no workers is the project is now on hold thanks to future funding worries. How many construction jobs lost? How many future jobs lost? Now my office is quieter, not sure that is a long term positive

Great meeting yesterday with the @cityofhope.bsky.social and @tgenresearch.bsky.social myeloma team working to bring rapid whole genome sequencing to myeloma patients. Special thanks to Suzie Nason helping make this dream a reality.

NICE!! any_of() does work when there are extras in the dictionary. I'd sorted out the filtering but this is much cleaner looking. THANKS SO MUCH for the great inspiration.

#ASH24 myeloma, gene expression review of genes in 17p del patients only PKMYT1 is over expressed and KO is lethal, drug exist that seems to be uniquely effective. High potential for benefit observation from @nikhilmunshi.bsky.social lab

#ASH24 myeloma, IRF4 in myeloma, identified genes regulating ITF3, AiRID1a and IRF4 bind the same region, MED12 impairs both MYC and IRF4, great science

David Jung from UofC showing inactivation of TRAF3 is associated pan resistance to TCE, interesting but also associated with target loss in patients
December 8, 2024 at 8:42 PM
#ASH24 myeloma, Adolfo Alena from Mount Sinai, MDSC with S100A8/9 expression associated with poor Car-t outcome, incubation of CAr-t with S100A8/9 has linear effect on inhibiting cytotoxic effect, can be salvaged with a blocking antibody. Great talk

#ASH24 myeloma, 16/27 patients were successfully tested with WGS on circulating tumor cells. Major question is how much drop out might exist. Still a tour de force by the @ireneghobrial.bsky.social lab

#ASH24 myeloma, median 0.01% PC, level correlates with BM, no circulating do very well, 0.02% cutoff. From Evangelos Terpos in Greece

Dr Puig, presenting on myeloma response criteria in the mass spec era #ASH24 1050 paired BM/serum samples from 350 patients. Mass spec clearly better than IFE alone. Even predicts PFS in CR patients. Even suggest in CR, marrow evaluation only useful for MRD. Super valuable study

Luca Bertamini presenting on CTC in myeloma PERSEUS trail with D-VRd - ASCT, pre treatment euroflow CTC, 80%, 0.175% cutoff, 15.3% of patients, high-risk genetics and high CTC showed no benefit to quad, less likely to acheive MRDneg
December 8, 2024 at 5:42 PM
#ASH24 interesting Greek study with patients stopping lenalidomide maintenance after 3 years of MRD negativity. Showed 27.5 median time to shift to MRD positive. Two plus years of treatment and most patient respond to Len again when MRD+

Circling the desert waiting for a chance to land in San Diego. The pre #ASH24 rush is already started before I even land for what I just realized is my 25th ASH meeting. Loki g forward to seeing friends and colleagues, and building the MyelomaSky community on this platform

It finally arrived, I can’t vote, GreenCard, but I pay more in taxes than most, and when you add my medical insurance it’s close to what I’d pay in Canada, so feel like I should at least voice my opinion on the election #GirlDad #independent
