Bernie is still working every day, not for votes, but because he actually cares about people. Where are Harris, Biden and Hilary now that the elections are over? 🤔

Being excessively rich is one thing. It does hurt other people in many ways - by not contributing (through taxes) to the society that made him rich. But when he then targets the most vulnerable in the name of “saving humanity from itself” we see a higher level criminality at work.

This has a musky stench about it. If people were good enough to be hired, what happened while they were working. Wouldn’t it make more sense to invest in improving workers rather than firing them? Meta on their resumes marks them as low performers to potential employers.

Meta is aiming to cut about 5% of what it calls its “lowest performers” with plans to backfill those roles later this year, the company confirmed on Tuesday.

A brilliant book by @profwolff.bsky.social. If workers, who produce the surplus, had control over how the surplus was used, we would likely have less income inequality and abuse of the environment.

Maximum wage is not an alien concept. In 1942 FDR wanted to impose a 100% tax on all income above $25K ($400K in today’s money). One could live pretty well on $400K!

This looks like a book worth reading. I don’t think continuing the fight to raise the minimum wage is going to raise the general standard of living. One could live pretty well on $400K per year! How much do Bezos or Musk or Buffett really need??
