Long conversations also tend to break down. Try giving it more discrete tasks… start a new conversation, explain the document revisions you want and get a revised doc in that chat.

Be explicit about the output. Say you want a markdown file, a docx, whatever. Check the capabilities in the docs.

I think you got bit by two things:

1) AI tools don’t actually understand their own capabilities very well. They can’t explain their “thought process” any better than people can.

2) Chat interfaces promise more than they can deliver. They make you think you’re talking to a person, and you’re not.
