Those treaties were signed 30 years before Alberta became a province.

Edmonton Strathcona Farmers Market was great this morning. Everybody seemed to be in a good mood and fired up! Have been doing this for a long time and the place was packed. Happy to spend money on better products produced locally!

If The Bay was Canadian owned and exclusively sold Made In Canada then I would be in there every week looking for something to buy and I’d buy a lot! Distribute products from coast-to-coast-to-coast to consumers from coast-go-coast-to-coast. #cdnpoli

Here’s a thought - instead of moving Inuit communities around the high arctic to assert Canadian sovereignty - how about those of us fortunate enough to have remote jobs take a two-year stint.

I’d volunteer.

Have been making an effort to buy local for a few years now. Isn’t always the cheapest choice but we are very fortunate and it keeps $ in the local economy. Going to work hard to expand that effort as much as we can in light of recent developments.

I just learned a German expression to describe to person/tool that can do everything. Such a rare thing is called an “egg-laying-wool-milk-pig.”

If that is all I learn today it has been a day well spent.

Sad news today at Humanoid!

Something that I shared with the team earlier -

"When I think about my life as an adult the good-times and the bad-times seem to be inexorably tied to the project that I was working on. My time at Humanoid will be remembered very fondly!“

Had reason today to reflect on nearly 30 years as animator. First ever project was an R rated German cartoon. We FedEx’d video tapes from Vancouver to Berlin and received back notes days later by fax. Helpful notes like “Why can’t you draw?” Had to get good fast. No pay without approval.
