While RoL can be set as a priority within the RRF, its economic framing limits the potential for a lasting impact on safeguarding this value.

I presented a chapter co-written with Saskia Hollander (@clingendael.bsky.social) on the use of spending conditionality instruments to protect the rule of law. ⚖️
