The ICON-S Benelux Conference was held at ULB last month 🇪🇺

As a political scientist, it was a great opportunity to engage with legal scholars interested in EU values. Our panel session focused on spending conditionality instruments.

Many thanks to the organizing committee for this event!

🇵🇱⚖️🗳️ The rule of law repair process in Poland just got incredibly more difficult. I expect President Nawrocki to be even less cooperative than Duda, as Nawrocki will work hard for a PiS parliamentary election victory. Tough times ahead. 1/

Hier soir, l’émission « Bonsoir le Prime » de #LN24 portait notamment sur les relations UE-Hongrie.

J’ai pu évoquer les instruments à disposition de l’Union pour faire respecter l’Etat de droit.

🇸🇰 This week in Bratislava, I conducted interviews on RoL protection in Slovakia. Beyond the supranational perspective, the national view must be addressed in the RoLSC literature.

Thanks to Max Steuer, I could also talk to students at Comenius and reflect on the nature and origins of EU values.
