The ICON-S Benelux Conference was held at ULB last month 🇪🇺

As a political scientist, it was a great opportunity to engage with legal scholars interested in EU values. Our panel session focused on spending conditionality instruments.

I presented a case study on the cost-benefit calculation processes of the EC and HU authorities vis-à-vis the CR🇭🇺

🇸🇰 This week in Bratislava, I conducted interviews on RoL protection in Slovakia. Beyond the supranational perspective, the national view must be addressed in the RoLSC literature.

Thanks to Max Steuer, I could also talk to students at Comenius and reflect on the nature and origins of EU values.

The PROSPER kick-off conference just came to an end. It was a pleasure to represent the Institute for European Studies with @derminepaul.bsky.social, who presented the IEE’s areas of contribution. Amandine Crespy and Ramona Coman are also key members of the ULB team.
