I hate fireworks. They are so wasteful, pollute the air, and cause horrible noise pollution that is particularly bad for wildlife and pets. I can’t wait for drones to take over light shows.

I remember Elian Gonzales and how the people who were enraged by what happened are now big supporters of using military force against immigrants. It is also worth pointing out that the government acted in the Elian case to reunite him with his father. bsky.app/profile/jack...
A million years ago, this was a national scandal. Today, it is just an every day occurrence that we all tacitly accept.

Republicans are taking us back at least 20 years on energy and climate policy. They effectively killed all of the IRA tax credits last night. Now the Senate is ignoring the Parliamentarian to rescind the California Clean Air Act waiver that allows California to establish strict emissions standards.
