This seems like an excellent start.
What if our tariff response was:
1) make a point of not matching tariffs and say "if you want to raise prices on your people that's your business";
2) cancel every Trump trademark and Musk contract;
3) say we may choose to curtail energy and potash exports if they continue this unlawful trade war.

These are two different words.
BORDER - the line, limit, or delimiting geographic feature that separates one country, state, province, etc.
BOARDER - a person, especially a lodger, who is supplied with regular meals.

"Putting American Interests First" should include not making the entire rest of the world hate you.
