The latest in my occasional series of photos from outings with my son: autistic teenager enthusiastic about radio dishes visits a very special one. He needed time to take in the sheer scale of the Lovell Telescope @jodrellbank.bsky.social before happily exploring the neighbouring exhibitions. 😊

A typical day's sightseeing for an autistic teenager. He might be uninterested in St Paul's, but the wall my lad is leaning on forms one edge of his favourite London fountain. He's giving himself time to get used to the sound of the water flow before he starts looking at it. 🥰

"Repost with the first album you bought with your own money."

It might have been Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, but I ostensibly bought that for my dad, so it's very likely this one, also with excellent sci-fi cover art for the vinyl.

Never saw that one, but my shortlist is clear: the one I was fascinated by as a kid, and the one I remain fascinated by as an adult. Honourable mention to Sport Billy's Timeship. 😉

Drop a ship [not necessarily a drop-ship, I presume] that's from neither Star Wars nor Star Trek.

My selection: the Raza, home to six amnesiac fugitives—and the Android—as the underrated series Dark Matter opens. The show suffered from some executive meddling but is still worth a watch on Freevee.

I'd have gone for a Harold Lloyd flick, so I'm OK with it if you are. 😉

I saw the post, so I'm sharing one of my favourite paintings—feel free to do the same. 😉 This is a portrait of Paganini by Delacroix, on display in the Phillips Collection, Washington DC.
