Justice Alito is probably mulling some emergency stay against the Indiana GOP senators who dared vote against Trump today.

Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

Donald Trump's attempt to interfere in the Honduran election should be a way bigger scandal in the U.S. than it is.

Friendly reminder that striking workers are asking you not to patronize ANY Starbucks store.

If you're traveling this week, your airport definitely has other options. Zero reason to even think about crossing a picket line!

Virginia's election for governor was the best example of "Normal vs. Evil" in 2025.

We tried normal against evil in 2024, but apparently it works in 2025.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

Let’s be clear, most EBT users are white. The reason he’s specifically lying about “weaves” and we’ve seen so many AI fakes of Black women ranting about food stamps is they need to make BW the face EBT because they know many Americans don’t care if Black people suffer, and some actually wish for it.
ROB SCHMITT: People are using SNAP benefits to get their nails done, to get their weaves and their hair. This is a really ugly program.

SEN. RON JOHNSON: That program needs to be dramatically reformed.

This is the correct take. One of Donald Trump's most consistent positions is that he is pro-corruption.

He pardons people for corruption convictions, regardless of party. See, e.g., Rod Blagojevich.

Compare this to what he said about people telling what he calls "edgy, offensive jokes" about Charlie Kirk.
It's telling that Vance's first instinct following the Politico leak was to tell his sons to be wary of what they write in group chats--to assume “some scumbag is going to leak it in an effort to try to cause you harm.”

His message here is basically--be racist; just don't get caught.

You don't have to judge Columbus by the standards of today. His tenure as governor of Hispaniola was so horrific that he was dragged back to Spain in chains to answer for his many crimes.

Plus he never set foot on any land that would ever be a part of the United States of America.

The prosecution of Tish James is the product of a broken system that allows lawless billionaires to rule alongside corrupt politicians.

It’s as much a story of New York City as Washington, D.C.

But it's here in New York where a new era of politics will be born.

Or maybe it is a good thing that more people stay home when they are sick, instead of going to work and getting everyone else sick.
