Some of my favourite things I’ve seen during my Swedish trip. The first ever football sticker in sign language (FCK - FC København in Danish Sign Language). Deaf fans are everywhere. Also, it’s great to see a fellow “honorary Swiss” Londoner being recognised by Malmo FF fans for his work.

Sweden has a rich football culture. It is accessible for deaf, disabled, women and young fans. All sports clubs are fan-owned (at least 51%), fostering a sense of community between fans and teams. The ultras scene is vibrant. The absence of VAR and big-spending owners keeps the game popular.

Went to the AIK v IFK Göteborg match in Solna. Both teams have a bit of a rivalry. Passion was on display with a great AIK tifo and a passionate away support but AIK walked to a comfortable 3-0 win, putting pressure on Mjallby, the league leader. Brilliant home support.

Headed to Stockholm for the Hammarby v Halmstad BK match. I always want to sample the famous Hammarby atmosphere. Not disappointed. A passionate home support. The experience is accessible with a Swedish Sign Language interpreter on the big screen. A solid 2-0 win for the Green & White Men.
