There are at least a few good chapters between “sock” and “[w]e talked”, and “talked” and “[h]e left” that I want to read right now!

Offer to give it to Trump — maybe he’ll give you a small principality to run . . ..

Looks like the part documenting the process whereby the wealthy defendant pays off Trump for a pardon is missing . . .

And of course in upstate Michigan you’ll find a great little bookstore in Northport named Dog Eared Books.

I can’t read “Department of War” without thinking of George Costanza’s failed attempt to be nicknamed “T-Bone”.

Dammit, you made me spit coffee on my shirt.

Elon Musk's involvement in politics really hurt Tesla sales.

"Without the Musk partisan effect, Tesla sales between October 2022 and April 2025 would have been 67-83% higher, equivalent to 1-1.26 million more vehicles."

I think they are — they’re armed with the courage to show up & publicly voice their opposition despite possible professional or personal repercussions. Many are stepping way outside their comfort zone b/c they believe in the importance of the cause — they’re tamping down fear & rejecting cowardice.

I disagree. Protest is very visible evidence of dissent & exercise of 1st Amd rights, with many positive effects: (e.g. interrupts admin’s narrative & goal of creating perception of “correctness” & inevitability of actions; creates opportunity for others to join within safety of a crowd).

I’m sorry to hear that — can you share where that was?
October 20, 2025 at 3:31 AM
No, and hadn’t heard of the Tulsa massacre either.

It’s obviously everyone’s decision about whether to bring kids, but I tend to think that expecting violence helps Trump win in some sense. It might be difficult for even hardened MAGA folks to conclude that a protest with young kids is somehow anti-American.

That’s one of the easier things to make — make high hydration sourdough, liberally coat with olive oil, put it in a pan and let time do all the work. Proof 24 hrs in fridge if you want more flavor.

Ever tried your hand at sourdough bialys? You won’t be disappointed, especially if you deeply caramelize the onions.

Alternatively, you could run for President on a GOP ticket . . .
October 8, 2025 at 5:49 PM
Hmmh — looks like a non-straight blue line to me. I think the FL Governor would paint that over toute suite for fear of the message it might send to the children.

Is that subversive sidewalk chalking?
October 7, 2025 at 10:24 PM
Agreed. Deeply disappointed.

And how will they navigate between Sr. Parter 1’s demand for curly quotes and the edict from Sr. Partner the he better not ever see a curly quote.

Have you seen this from a little while ago? bsky.app/profile/mulc...
moments ago: pandemonium.

a huge mass of border patrol agents, led by greg bovino, pushed the crowd of protesters and started grabbing people at random.

leading up to this, folks were just calmly standing in the grass, following isp’s orders.

multiple people detained. no clue how many.
