Like I’m 26 and I can’t think of a single time where being able to do pull ups would have helped me (outside of climbing a tree).
I feel similarly about push ups but that one I hear less often for “safety” purposes.

Like do you expect me to be falling off a cliff and having to pull myself back up in the near future??? Like all the situations I can see pull ups specifically being important to someone’s actual safety is like, shit you only see in action movies.

Like they seem to be under the assumption that I have no idea what I’m doing when I never even indicated that I’m incapable/inexperienced.

The amount of times people flirting with me have said I seem toxic but in a hot way is perhaps a red flag.
