I thought the stylized aesthetic of the world building perfectly meshed with the parkour mechanics. In 2009, that stylization was starting to vanish from AAA.

In spirit, Mirrors Edge is a contender. Even though there is *a gun* it’s the most irrelevant part of the game.

Ha. My guess is that lines like that read like technobabble nonsense to most actors so at times it might seem like they have a choice to either recite in monotone or add an inflection.

The only game I think worth it (and a miracle it got made) is Alan Wake 2. Or maybe a few Sony first party titles. From what I actually played on it, its the only clear justification for me going from PS4 to 5.

At best it leaves you with a mercenary mentality. Which as a willing or unwilling member of capitalism might be a best case situation.

After 2 years at my first job at Threewave Software was layed off due to the credit crunch of 2007 (greed). Next 2 jobs at Kaos Studios and Irrational Games same end. Left me with low expectations forevermore. If financial mismanagement is ill treatment, then yes I realized it long ago.

Yeah exactly that. Historians 100 years from now will need to use a new marker that's tremendously more important than BC/AD.

The phenomenon I have noticed is the exponential increase year after year since 2010 (?) of people aware of very little of existence prior to their experience. I suspect it's a cultural trend. The first 30 years of my life I didn't encounter the phrase "before my time", now I do frequently.
