As the arrest unfolded, teachers pleaded with the agents telling them the teacher had a work permit. The agents went into multiple rooms looking for teachers while children were present. One teacher hid with a child in her care while the agents stormed the facility.

Both Labour and in the US the Democrats made the fatal error of assuming the LGBT vote was marginal, could be diluted, and wasn't motivated.
They also forgot that the LGBT vote shitposting and badmouthing them has a big reach and ripples outwards.

Also 14% of people polled identify as LGBTQ+. Just a decade ago, we were thought to be like 5% of the population. However, 1, there are probably more of us than was generally realized, and 2, there’s a lot at stake for us so we’re more politically involved than the average cis straight.
