I am extremely lucky to have a dedicated room with a 5x6 table and plenty of storage - which is always full of course.

The d/m m/d confusion is due to our close physical and economic connection to the US and our use of software like MS Office with US localization. Excel in particular is a nightmare for dates

For other measurements, we are just weird.
