Canadian. RE Bubble watcher.

Homeowner who believes HOUSE PRICES MUST FALL and remain attainable with local incomes. Nothing else will help FTHB, and even many existing owners.
@7:38 Agree with you and I wonder the same. Something needs to change w gang activities of all kinds, it just seeming to get worse instead. :/

LOVE this MO of advertising. Not Kitamat, another small town w it's quirks- and yes lots of rain, used to being wet now

LOVE being in a 🏡, having a garden w fresh food, space for our animals, rent a condo close to work, happy to not own in one. Drawbacks are more than worth what we got in exchange❤️

That wall, like a barn owl, a jackrabbit and a tarsier combined faces into one freaky animal.

Out of town investors/slum landlords of Vancouver properties are thrilled I'm sure with what amounts to a tax cut when you account for inflation. Easy to support this BS when you care about $ over community & don't use or enjoy the city's amenities that'll be hit w cuts to pay for this.

"Gaps do exist, said Chaplick, the lawyer not involved with the case.

“There are gaps in what the Condominium Act does to protect homeowners and there are gaps in the Tarion coverage and those gaps are filled by the courts,” Chaplick said. "

Yikes. Because courts are NOT cheap, nor fast.

:( Straight out of a nightmare, how awful for anyone who was physically unable to safely descend the stairs to escape.

Look at the missing (one dangling) smoke alarms on the bedroom ceilings. ☹️

Not ON, but my own home was run down & used as a rental for yrs b4 buying it. The smoke alarms were not functional, decades old, & the first thing I replaced. Wonder how common that is in rental homes.

Someone who owns and lives in Van wouldn't care about a prop tax increase. Rich absent owners, Vancouver RE slumlords among those who DGAF if the Vancouver library branches cuts programs, aquatic centre continues to crumble, or baby change tables vanish to save them $

Yup, because passing a bill that could render more people homeless will only reduce substance abuse and crime.

You mean Jagmeet Singh, former NDP leader. He's the reason we have the dental program.

Thanks for not scrapping it, but I'm thanking the NDP for making it happen in the first place.

Jagmeet Singh lost being leader of his party, and lost a record # of NDP seats last election to make dental care a condition of supporting your unpopular predecessor's government.

Also, I'm not smart enough to fully understand the ramifications to the changes in Bill 60 to how water will be handled in the province, at a glance it's not great. Fuck anyone who voted for that guy.

💔Ontario.
With all the RE investors currently failing to sell vacant properties bc their prices are out to mars, there is already a hell of a lot of stock that would eventually be rented out of need of some $ to offset the owner's carrying costs.
