Out of town investors/slum landlords of Vancouver properties are thrilled I'm sure with what amounts to a tax cut when you account for inflation. Easy to support this BS when you care about $ over community & don't use or enjoy the city's amenities that'll be hit w cuts to pay for this.

Not ON, but my own home was run down & used as a rental for yrs b4 buying it. The smoke alarms were not functional, decades old, & the first thing I replaced. Wonder how common that is in rental homes.

With all the RE investors currently failing to sell vacant properties bc their prices are out to mars, there is already a hell of a lot of stock that would eventually be rented out of need of some $ to offset the owner's carrying costs.
