No. Johnson's *lie* is that he's following the precedent set by Pelosi.
Not only is 25 days not six weeks, it is also the case that Pelosi was not intentionally delaying bringing the House to session to keep Letlow from being sworn-in, as evident by the fact that Letlow never complained about such.

You may notice, but only if you have a really high IQ capable of passing the LSAT, that there's a teeny-tiny little difference between "streamlining the process of swear ins to ensure an elected representative is admitted" and "refusing to swear in an elected representative for six weeks."

And, yet, I feel there is no phrase to better describe the kind of American Jew who has never left the states but still says things like "No Jews would be safe if not for Israel" than the phrase "self-hating Jew."

No amount of sukkot, no amount of state-funded yeshiva, no amount of rhetoric will make up for the fact that American Jews are infinitely less likely to die for their being Jewish than any of their levantine kin.

They want to be able to say "See? The system works! Sure, maybe Trump *tried* to do something we know is bad (tariffs), but he didn't! The Supreme Court stopped him! The system ~protected~ you, ergo the system does not need to be changed and it's safe to elect Trump again."
