Thanks. Best I can estimate from the photo (knowing the size of my trap) is 6 or 7 mm long which doesn't seem very conclusive! It does look most like some of the sturnipennella photos lve now found online though.

Your 'modest' traps are bigger than my best ever with a homemade bucket trap in urban Parkstone! However I did also get a Blair's Mocha about a week ago.

I must have just been unlucky with the timing of my scans. Only a few gannets plus regular guillemots and kittiwakes for me.

Weird. I sea watched from just west of the Obelisk from roughly 12:15 until 12:45 and didn't see any Shearwaters at all! They must have left with you!
