Went to see the Boyton Marshes young black stork whilst on a family holiday in the area. To say it's tame is an understatement! ( I didn't stalk, I sat on the bank and it decided it wanted to go past)

A lovely Brindled Beauty this morning is the 200th moth species seen in my urban Parkstone garden since I began trapping 4 years ago. Still using the home made bucket and funnel trap with an actinic bulb.

Garden magic this morning in Parkstone with 5 species of finches. The usual Gold, Chaff, and Green, with 2 bullfinches de-budding our cherry plum tree and a nfy pair of siskins.

Arrived Ham Common Lookout to find a juv wt eagle riding the updraft 30 ft above it! Glided along the shore for about 5 mins before heading over to Arne. Snow bunting also still present at Hamworthy @harbourbirds.bsky.social
