yeah, godot itself is really good overall imo, but godotsteam has been a nightmare for me to try to read through
this is the FAQ answer i was trying to work with and that first "cause" isn't anything. and the only way i can think to interpret it is "the plugin version doesn't work, don't use it"

since we're starting to get a bunch of outtakes, here's a dialogue mechanic for characters texting each other that we ended up scrapping for simplicity. maybe someday it'll reappear tho u.u
