Slowly grinding away at PARALLAX VEIL.
Today I got a bunch of UI work done on the resource bars so there's a really smooth indication of depletion.
I've also been working on the spell casting system.

Working on more world building, this time a direct opposite of the cyberpunk city, playing more on solar punk vibes of "flourishing" and "alive".

This emphasis of contrast is just one narrative theme in "Parallax Veil".

Started working on some world design today. Mostly dialed in the ambient vibes on a small sample street I slapped together for now. This will build out into an explorable Hub world in between dives into the main game play space.

Very rough start of building corruption zone that will creep from each infected node. I am working on the logic right now so that when it touches a non-infected node, it will trigger a domino effect across the game world.

We can tie this into all kinds of world events.

Still a LOT of work to do to polish this type of stuff, but there is framework done for destructive wall interactions. I think stuff like this can be a lot of fun to explore the game world for secret pathways and chambers.

AI Update - Enemies will pursue much more aggressively by dynamically sprinting, running, etc towards their target to break the distance quicker. This will also allow me to delve deeper into advanced AI to make them fight more dynamically.
