Right! And Whether he is genuine or not, he has spread his apathy to so many people. Rather than imagining a post-colonial, post-capital, post-industrial world, whole world gotta die bc the western model of civilization is bad for the environment?

Not to mention there were no citations! Sometimes i get the need for ditching formality, but when one of the central claims of the piece was that much of the literature about wind farms' effect on biodiversity has methodological flaws, you kinda have to cite that shit!

Oh i think ive got a GOOD guess as to who you're talking about. This is gonna be conspiratorial asf, but i am convinced that people in that camp of "enlightened doomer" are funded by the fossil fuel industry to make sure ppl just take the end of the world lying down.
