Sometimes it's not apparent because they're one of multiple creators in a studio.

But just as often, they have a new individual name (perhaps alongside their transition).

It *does* seem like there's something akin to survivor bias in that POV. Some designers really do stop. Sad, but not a fault.

I don't recall any examples off the top of my head, but there have definitely been instances when a TRPG designer goes radio silent, then later on, I'll retroactively realize I've encountered their newer work on a video game (indie or otherwise), or they're more active as a comic writer/artist now.

It's not *just* an age/generation thing

To be fair, the creators seem fairly transparent about their methodology. It's quite rigorous, as far as pop psych fluff goes

It looks like the inclusion of characters/franchises is based on having a large enough pool of peers to provide calibrated metrics

I also realized there were no Pacific Rim characters in the results pool.

Because the scatter graph for my results (compared with Gaius Balthar's) is probably even closer to that *other* science officer who ended up getting corrupted by the malign influence of his extradimensional waifu.

Haven't watched IBO, but I've always regarded the shifts between the conclusion of Ender's Game and the events of Speaker For The Dead in that way

I've shied away from exploring it more, because I'm reluctant to give OSC's work any further support or attention

Maybe IBO is the alternative I need?
