Given those kids can go into the newsagents after school and see an entire wall of papers endorsing their radicalised views, or hear the prime minister and health secretary advocating for those views on the radio in the car home, this is completely ineffective.

see, we know that's the case but I'm not convinced he does. There's a conviction among a lot of them, most obvious among those who have trans relatives that went no contact, that a day will come when everyone stops being trans, and their friends and family come begging for their forgiveness

so high on their own supply they completely failed to consider whether human rights bodies might have a problem with the "it's fine because we don't see them as human" approach

if you're still financially supporting that IP by buying merch, watching films, hyping up audiobook rerecords/tv series etc, you are actively funding attacks on trans rights in the UK. There's no way around that.

honestly the het relationship related AITA/OR stuff I've seen is so consistent. Dudes thinking their gf is overreacting & they're not the asshole for stealing her life savings to buy magic beans, women thinking they might be overreacting because the BF threatened to kill them

I mean multiple labour MPs have been agitating about getting rid of the ECHR (no, you cannot 'negotiate reductions in articles 3 and 8' like labour have been suggesting, they'll have to leave it to achieve that)

because the legal system is a joke and exists to fuck people over. If you don't offer the service, that's discrimination, if you offer the service in such a way as no one can access it, well *technically* the service was offered.
