Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

I tried to articulate something that I thought was missing from most assessments of Blue Origin's all-women stunt flight: that its message was profoundly sexist. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

The worst people you went to high school with are now running our government. They're the people who cheated on tests, bullied the smaller kids, stole stuff from lockers and lied about other students behind their backs.
They grew up, stayed awful and became MAGA.

I say this a lot at work: if you try to be everything to everyone you're nothing to anyone.

The Washington Post killed off its "Democracy Dies In Darkness" slogan.

The sad reality is, the overwhelming majority of Americans don't know there's a voter for the Speaker going on, don't care & won't be able to name him after the vote. This is what happens in a country where civics education is no longer universal. Its absence lets darkness settle in over democracy.

Just an FYI: when someone from Gen X says “I don’t get it,” we do actually get it.
This is so gross. And it keeps happening. Why not depose him? The case wouldn’t cost more than $15M and ABC would have won if they bothered fighting. I don’t get it.

The 2nd season of “Shrinking” seems even better than the first. I wasn’t expecting that. Nor was I expecting Ted McGinley to be crushing it.
