speaking of ambitious writers, robyn schiff’s information desk was so cool imo. it isn’t typical of the poetry i read, but the premise was so interesting i couldn’t put it down. a memoir by a poet i enjoyed was how we fight for our lives by saeed jones

the ministry of time by kaliane bradley was one of my favorite reads last year. a little more serious of a book is homegoing by yaa gyasi. she’s a master of creating distinct characters
