A lot of the time it just feels like Wrathion gets that hate and slander because he's the only one left and because he's coded in a way that I think reveals some very ugly truths to the playerbase.
I dislike how in spite of how much Wrathion wants to correct his mistakes, they're ignored.

Reason why I didn't like the writers completely undermining Wrathion and everything he's done just to give it to Ebonhorn that hated his own flight for his entire life and the only thing he really did was give Emberthal a pep talk and then bang badda boom he's the earthwarder now.

why do they write him like this 😭 I miss BfA Wrathion, or even pre-DF Eternal Vow Wrathion at least. or hell, Wrathion at the END of DF. if im optimistic maybe its just that the player in this scenario is some scrub he doesn't know and Wrathion reserves his less-snarky side for people he's close to.

Ebyssian was once a character I deeply liked. And then Dragonflight came and absolutely botched him.
I'm sorry but if your arc is "I need to do more" than you should probably do more then as a leader and champion of your flight. Should've been the three sharing the role or Wrathion.

She's a fantastic villain, and properly built up too. She's not only cemented herself as a threat, she's also been built up in such a way that's believable while also retroactively making a lot more sense as part of the lore that she is.

about how "obvious" it was that she turned on us at the end of the patch, but that's exactly the point. Alleria was telling us the whole time, but there was no other option. A lot of fans seem to have come away from this questline loving Rhea and see her as a good mother despite the fact that she clearly did/does horrific things to another mother and babies that weren't her own. idk the whole thing just stuck with me.

Something just real strange going on at Blizz's lore department. Bronze dragons coming to town to experiment with Void powers in a city that already suffers from the Void infecting their people. Wrathion's own content with 0 actual involvement from him because they keep sidelining him in the story.

Don't mind me, I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of this, I'm just annoyed that the risks Wrathion took in BfA were such a big point of Discourse™️ back in the day so seeing Soridormi just whip up this new portal now like it's nothing and the other dragons joking about it all makes me cranky lol

So much this. Wrathion being treated as a whelp in DF not adult enough to take mature responsibilities like being an Aspect yet held fully responsible like an adult for the consequences of his whelp doing in Cata/Mop. This irritates me like many other things in DF done to his character. It's unfair.
And esp imo, that does add significantly onto the tragic themes of his character a lot too- forced to grow up too fast, seen as too immature to do anything but mature enough for consequences even when he should have had guidance.
