Gemini North image of Arp 78, also known as NGC 772.

Interactions with its companion galaxy NGC 770 (out of frame) left NGC 772's bottom arm elongated and asymmetrical.

HiRISE 3D: Double Impact Crater!

Glacier fill in two craters now separated, but looks like the flow went north at some point, and there is a suprising lack of erosion in some areas of the rim.

Animation of X4.0 flare in AR 14274 on 2025-11-14. Nice coronal wave but not as spectacular as the X5.1 event on 2024-11-11. Protons were observed in GOES >100 MeV channel but not >500 MeV channel.

A cool celestial firework (a supernova!) went off in NGC 3621, - a galaxy ~22 million light-years away - in April of this year, and lots of folks from around the world turned their telescopes to catch it.

It was very bright, even through small apertures.

I tracked it for months!
