I was officially sworn in as a member of the Baltimore City Veterans Commission. It’s a privilege to join this body and stand alongside fellow veterans in service to our community.

I look forward to contributing to initiatives that uplift and support those who have worn the uniform.

Been quiet on here—just wrapped up 8 weeks at UIUC’s SROP where I researched how language and systems shape how we see ourselves. Presented my work last week and feeling grateful.

Went to a powerful talk last night at UMD Law on how flawed reasoning shapes public life. Huge thanks to the panelists and GreatTalk Inc. for creating space for these conversations. We need more of this. #PublicPhilosophy #Baltimore

Our convo on The Philosophy of Civil Disobedience went deeper than expected. What started with Thoreau turned into a real look at what blocks resistance today—fear, risk, co-optation. Not easy, but necessary. Part two’s on the way.

Spent two days at the Geo-Aesthetics Conference at Towson—a much-needed pause that sparked new ways of thinking about beauty, space, and meaning. Grateful for the talks and conversations that expanded my view.

The event was an another great success. I’m very happy that another philosopher from Morgan was able to lead the discussion.

On April 8th the next conversation will be on The Philosophy of Civil Disobedience.

So my first meetup event was a success! We had such great conversation that started off about “What is a good life” that ended staying heavily on the idea of one’s purpose and what is a good purpose. Can’t wait to do it again

I had the great pleasure of attending UMBC’s Philosophy Club. It was actually pretty great turnout of about 20 people. I’m grateful that they allowed me to come and participate.

They talked about a myriad of topics from dreams to what is a concepts all this in a hour. 😳

Sunday I went to the Baltimore Ethical Society Sunday and got a “sermon” on the ethics of the border issue. It was a heavy topic but I was glad to learn something

Had a great time chatting and learning at the Baltimore Ethical Society today. I didn’t know a lot about Corretta Scott King and I’m glad they were able to give a nice introduction from her autobiography. I especially love that members I didn’t meet were very warm and welcoming to me. They even sang

Also, I wanted to share about a book store that didn’t know existed called, Everyone Place. It was a very nice store with a great selection of books, mostly centered on or around African Americans. They had a very talkative cat.

I’ve never been an into poetry, at all, but I went to an open mic night in celebration of Nikki Giovanni. 🎙️

I didn’t know who she was before she passed but I did enjoy the piece I read called, “For Saundra.”

Just wanted to share this with world. 🌎
